Wagih Yassa is one of the artists who excelled in the expressive art of portraiture using watercolors and oil colors, he has membership in the Canadian Portrait association, and in the Canadian Watercolor association, as he lives between Egypt and Canada.
Wagih has been in many positions like technical commissioner for many institutions in Canada, painting many Canadian characters and he is considered one of the most successful portrait artists in the world in 2008. Also, he painted the covers of Naguib Mahfouz's books in English at the American University in Egypt, as he is one of the pioneers of portraiture art.
