The artist Wael Hamdan was born in 1971. He graduated from the Faculty of Art Education in Zamalek in 1994. He worked in the fields of graphics, advertising, art direction, photography, animation, and 3D models in Egypt and the Gulf. Exhibitions in Egypt, France, Kuwait and ten years.

Born in Cairo in 1935• Graduated from the Architecture Department of the Faculty of Fine
Arts in 1960• He was interested in drawing since childhood and kept painting parallel to his
architectural practice• He participated in collective, joint, and solo exhibitions since his first
exhibition in Cairo Atelier in 1967.He held several exhibitions that reflect the impressions of his
travels in Egypt (Nubia, El Miniya, New Valley, Siwa, Sinaiand abroad, ( Canada, France, Italy,
Greece, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Yemen, Saudi Arabia,...)• He painted using several media and
specialized in watercolors.• The current exhibition is a comprehensive retrospective one,
which includes various and selected paintings from the 1960till now.
