Maha Safey Eldin
-A graduate of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University.
-Studied ‘Elements of Water Colour Painting’ in Ottawa, Canada with Canadian artist Sylvia Garay.
-Took art courses with artist Magd El Siguini.
-Had her first exhibition at Cherif Lotfy’s ‘El Shaqqa’ art gallery.
-Had her first solo exhibition at Salah Taher art gallery at the Cairo Opera House.
-Worked for several years as consultant at CULTNAT ( Center For Documentation of Cultural & Natural Heritage ).
-Has participated in several private and group exhibitions at the AUC, Al Hanager art gallery, Ahmed Shawky Museum, CULTNAT, etc ….
-Her paintings portray the daily life of the Egyptian working class woman, whom she considers the ‘back bone’ of her family; the different daily chores she performs in a tiny room where all the family lives.
