Alaa Nagm is a contemporary visual artist who has organized numerous art courses to teach visual arts and explain her distinctive style, which addresses various human and social issues. In her paintings, we find the search for lost freedoms, where freedom in her works is the release of the human spirit and its escape from the evils of mankind.

She has participated in many international exhibitions in countries such as the USA, China, Greece, France, Spain, and Oman, and has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Egypt. She received a state-sponsored grant for artistic focus for four years starting from 2016. Her latest and thirteenth exhibition, titled “The Harbinger of Light,” in January 2024.

Gehan holds a Bachelor of Education from Helwan University and studied Oil Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Zamalek. A member of the Syndicate of Fine Artists at the Opera House, she teaches at the American School of Languages and owns an educational centre for plastic arts, ceramics, and handicrafts. Since 2002, she has held numerous exhibitions in Egypt and abroad and participated in workshops locally and internationally.
